Q&A 2
Nov 2, 2013

In your case, without a history of viral drug resistance, it seems reasonable to either continue on Edurant with Ezpicom or to use Edurant with Viread and Epivir.

Sorry I am confused with other meds. My meds are Edurant + Viread + Abacavir, Is that okay?

Response from Dr. Young

Hello and thanks for posting.

Yes, so long as you have 3 active drugs, this regimen should be fine. Atypical, yes- (without a cytidine medication like 3TC or FTC) but certainly ok.

why does tcell goes down and viral loads go up?
Any benefit to switching meds?
