opportunistic infections
Sep 23, 2013

Hi there, very informative site. My vl is undetectable cd4 is 150. Lately been experiencing these, right jaw pain, groin rash, blood in stools and headaches..can u please tell me what this is? Thanks

Response from Dr. Young

Hi and thanks for posting.

Your symptoms could be caused by multiple things, and it's difficult to be certain on the basis of a simple online question.

Jaw pain could be the result of dental problems, swollen lymph nodes or oral ulcers, to name a few.

Groin rash is quite possibly a fungal (yeast) infection.

Headaches and blood in your stools are more worrisome symptoms- both could be of minor significance or serious- including causes which are AIDS-related complications. These deserve a prompt discussion with your medical provider.

Hope that helps and please feel free to write back, BY
