HIV symptoms help!
Sep 5, 2013

I have been experiencing nothing but hiv symptoms since my possible exposure in January. I've been tested at 3 months and 6 and its negative. I have been having nerve issues like numbness and tingling all around body and muscle weakness. I read online that neurapathy is one of the most common firsts signs of hiv. Now I'm freaking out because I also could have had a possible herpes exposure and I'm worried that I might have hiv and herpes so its not creating antibodies and tests are negative I've been suffering with the muscle weakness, twitching, pins and needles along with low back discomfort for months now please help!!

Response from Dr. Young

Because of the volume of questions about choosing HIV medications (the subject of this Forum), I don't answer questions about "do I have HIV?".

First, I'd suggest reviewing the massive volumes of questions and answers on this subject at's Forum on Safe Sex and Prevention; if your questions remain unanswered, then please post your question on that Forum.
