|Rank odor from new Stribild bottle
Aug 24, 2013
I transitioned to Stribild about 6 months ago with continued good results. My most recent mail order supply was not expedited to me as requested. I had some concerns about the 5 day delivery time due to the summer heat, especially here in Texas, but my doctor thought the delivery should be fine. I put my concerns aside, until now. I opened the first bottle of the new shipment and immediately noticed a rank, stale smell. I don't remember my previous refills having that smell. Even my partner noticed the smell. The other two bottles from that same delivery also had the smell.
Before I go through the process of trying to get an immediate refill thru retail approved, I'd like to confirm that I'm not overreacting to the smell. Many thanks.

Hi and thanks for posting.
I'm not aware of this issue from Stribild. I'd suggest speaking to your pharmacist (or if these mail ordered, a local retail pharmacist knowledgable about HIV medications) about the odor.
