Aids Treatment
Jul 31, 2013

When is it too late to start treatment if you have never been treated for hiv or aids? What I mean is can a persons health improve even late in the aids process if they begin treatment.

Response from Dr. Young

Hello and thanks for posting.

While it's not a good thing to wait too long to start HIV treatment, it's never too late to start.

Even people with very late-stage disease who start (and adhere to) treatment can dramatically improve their health and health risks.

Be well, BY
