Jul 16, 2013
I want to lose 10lbs., I heard about this weight loss pill, that curbs your appetite. I take Atripla at night , 1 a day dose. I have been undetectable for 15 years., and T-cells around 900-1200.. Very Stable, thank God.. But wanted to check if I can take these for appetite control & energy also.. I weigh 156lbs., and I am 5'6.. I hope this helps :) any info. would greatly be appreciated.. Thank you!! I am 42 years old..

Hello and thanks for posting.
I would not recommend taking sibutramine. First, it is metabolized by cytochrome P450 and has the potential to interact with many medications, potentially efavirenz. Second, and more importantly, the medication was withdrawn from the market in many countries because of increased risk of cardiovascular events (such as strokes).
