| How long we can alive in second line treatment Dec 31, 2012 Sir, I had started ART since October 2008 (Lamivir S-30 & Efavir 600)and thereafter in January 2012, doctor stitched to second line Tab. Tavin-L (Lamivudine & Tenofovir)& Tab.Atazor-R (Atazanavir & Ritonavir)and have been informed that I have very short life as second line cannot work for long time. Is there any way out to live long life with medication? Please give me your valuable advice in this regard. |

Hi and thanks for posting. Happily, I think you're misinformed. So long as you stay adherent to your second line regimen (that means not missing doses, avoiding antacids and taking your pills with food), there's no reason to think that this regimen won't work for many, many years to come.
