Drug Timing

Nov 19, 2012

Hi, i am taking the medications Lamivudine(300mg)/Tenofovir(300mg) combo and Neveraphine 200mg, i take the Tenofovir/Lamivudine combo once daily specifically 9pm while i take the Neveraphine twice daily 9am and 9pm, what i need to know is if i can combine 2 pills of Neviraphine(200mg x 200mg) and take all my medications once daily by taking them all at same time instead of taking the Neviraphine twice daily while the Tenofovir /lamivudine combo is taken once by taking them all together once a day will be more convenient for me pls let me know, i am writting from Nigeria thanks

Response from Dr. Young

Hello and thanks for posting from Nigeria.

Yes, since nevirapine can be taken once daily, you could take all of your medications (2 x 200 mg nevirapine and the tenofovir/lamivudine combo) all together, once daily.

I hope that helps. Please feel free to write back, BY
