Difference time zone when traveling

Nov 6, 2012

Hi there, Can any Doctors here can help me regarding HIV drug problem ? My question is - i am taking 1 table combivir at morning 11am and 1 table combivir + 1 table stocrin at 11pm at night.

I will be visiting UK( time zone is difference /delay 8 hours from Asia) and can I change to 11am and 11pm uk time for my medication ? Because I can't wake up early 3am Uk time (in aisa it will be 11pm by then) to take my combivir +stocrin?

I will be very delighted if i can get your professional advise

Kind regards Keat

Response from Dr. Young

Hi and thanks for posting.

Since efavirenz (Stocrin, Sustiva) should be taken at bed time it's perfectly ok to simply change your dosing to the UK evening- just as you've proposed.
