| TPHA Nov 2, 2012 Dear, i have TPHA positive 1:5120 last year, i got treatment of antibiotics, but my tpha is still positive & HIV negative. please tell me what i can do for negative and what is stage of this , primary , secondary ?? |

Hi and thanks for posting. Your positive TPHA test indicates syphilis infection- with such a high titer, it' quite possible that you had recent or acute infection, though you can't use the test to tell if your primary, secondary or tertiary syphilis. Like other antibody tests, this will remain positive for your lifespan. There's nothing that you can do to make the test revert to negative. BY | |||||||||
