Complera with meal?
Oct 29, 2012
Hello Dr.s, I am aware that complera needs to be taken with a substantial meal: 400 -500 cals..should it be taken during ( say halfway through) or after completing the meal? Thanks for your help!
Response from Dr. McGowan
Thank you for your question. It doesn't matter when during the meal you take the pill. You can take it during, or up to 2 hours after eating. Everything will mix together in your stomach. One thing that is interesting about this medicine..it is best to take it with a meal that has solid food in it, that is, NOT with a protein shake for example. The absorption of the medicine is better with a meal that you have to chew.
