Atripla & Antibiotics Oct 22, 2012 Hi. I have been on Atripla for 2 months now & am tolerating it very well. I am having root canal surgery in a week & told to start antibiotics, but I'm extremely worried what the interaction between Atripla & antibiotics will be, if any. On top of that, my doctor is away on vacation for 2 weeks!! Right now I am taking Remeron, Atripla & now because of the tooth pain, Advil. What are all these drugs doing to my system. Is it safe to start antibiotics with these drugs?? |

 Hi and thanks for posting. Drug-drug interactions can limit the effectiveness or side effects or medications when taken in combination. While the specific answer to your question will depend on which antibiotics, in general, antibiotics are safe to take with HIV meds.
