Can u brush the white coat away easily
Sep 30, 2012
Im in the army ive taken have HIV test all negative I have one question the white film or coat can it be easily brushed away I mean ill brush an go the whole day but if I dont brush for like a day its back I have no spots patches or nothing its just ill have a white tongue is this normal DOC. And I also just did another test that negative as well
Response from Dr. McGowan
Your HIV tests are both negative. Your description of the white coating is not consistent with oral thrush (aka oral candidiasis). Building up a coat on one's tongue is not uncommon. I think it is good oral hygiene to either brush one's tongue or use a tongue cleaner on a daily basis. Thanks Joe
