| Infected at childbirth? Sep 3, 2012 My son is close to 6 years old, and seems active and relatively healthy, although very slightly underweight. Also he lost a couple of his baby teeth in the last few month from falling out - he had previously lost 3 from school playground accidents. I have recently developed symptoms of possible hiv. My last HIV test was in July 2005 (neg) - could i have unknowingly passed this onto my wife and son. This is destroying me, more then the thought of being infected myself. I will go for a test soon, i am just trying to muster some courage. |

Response from Dr. Young
Thanks for posting. Breath easy. If your wife (the mother) is HIV negative, there is no, absolutely no way that your son is HIV infected. BY | |||||||||
