Hello and thanks for posting. Are you sure you have the right second regimen? One would not use recommend this regimen, as lamivudine (3TC) and emtricitabine (FTC) are very similar medications. Furthermore, while lamivudine is a very well tolerated medication, one would generally not substitute 3TC for tenofovir. So, given the two options, there's no decision. The tenofovir/FTC/efavirenz regimen is preferred and is also available as a once-daily tablet. BY | |||||||||
