Atripla and drinking Aug 19, 2011 I have been on Atripla since 2008 with undetectable viral load. I'm negative for Hep B and Hep C. Would it be OK to have 3-4 drinks every weekend? My liver tests have been normal so far. I read on this website that moderate drinking (one drink per day) is usually OK but are 3 drinks only on weekends considered moderate? I don't forget to take my pill even when I drink. Thank you for your input. |

 Hi and thanks for posting. It's ok to have an occasional alcohol drink while taking HIV medications, so long as their consumption doesn't interfere with your adherence. Also, not that if you have liver disease or hepatitis, alcohol use might not be the best for your long-term health. Be well, BY | ||||||||
