 Hello and thanks for your post. The term, renal parenchymal disease is non-specific and refers to abnormalities of the body of the kidney. There are multiple causes, including high blood pressure, drug toxicity and trauma. The key to treatment is first to understand the potential causes and reverse as many of these as possible. Depending on the severity of the illness and in general, avoidance of medications that can cause kidney injury is prudent. Several of these are commonly prescribed, including non-steroidal antiinflammatory medications, trimethoprim-sulfa and certain antiretroviral medications. Hope this helps, BY | ||||||||
