| zinc isotopes May 19, 2011 Dear Expert; I have been reading about the need the HIV virus has for zinc. Has there been any investigations, or any considerations given to using the various forms of zinc including, but not limited to radioactive and other isotopes to treat the virus? And if the answer is not to your knowledge, any idea weather this is a logical avenue to peruse? Thanks Mike |

Response from Dr. Young
Hello and thanks for your provocative post. Zinc is an essential element, not just for HIV, but also for human cells. Consequently, zinc would not be a very selective anti-viral. BY | |||||||||
