antibody Feb 18, 2011 Hi Dr. i get compleat the window period and now i have to perform hiv test. but durring complition window period i was go in depression due to depression i started drinking alcohols, sigrates and use tobaco for cheawing also i eat the other materials containig tobaco. my quetion is that can this materials tobaco, alcohols and sigrates affects on hiv test? such as can it increas the window period? Durring antibody test the HIV Can not detectable? it affect on production of antibody? or ant other HIV testing problems? |

 No, although alcohol and cigattes are bad for you they will not in any way effect the results of your HIV test. Do not let your depression on this test cause a true health problem for you. Put this behind you and move on. Joe | ||||||||
