Hi and thanks for your post. Generally speaking, pre-operative lab tests include a complete blood count, basic metabolic panel (to assess kidney function) and coagulation measures. Some doctors like to know CD4 and viral loads. In every case, I recommend that my HIV+ patients disclose their status, immune health and medications to their consulting doctors and surgeons.
