| hiv symptoms after 10 months Jan 31, 2011 hello, im having hiv symptoms after 10 months of possible exposure. hives, shortness of breath, facial wasting and herpes after the first month of exposure. i got tested 6 months after the exposure and it was negative and again at 10 months after exposure still negative. but im still worried. what does that mean doc? im scared! |

The symptoms you describe are not specific to HIV infection and many peole may have them. Since you have tested negative 10 months after having picked up herpes, as long as you have not have any additional high-risk exposure, you are indded HIV-negative and should not worry. Joe | |||||||||
