I am new to your site. Are you people paid by the drug companies? It seems that this entire site is about promoting medicine. I would just like to know. Thanks, Dan

Welcome to the site. The authors on this site are paid directly from TheBody.com (though financial support to TheBody comes, in part, from a variety of sources, including pharmaceutical companies).
This forum is called, "Choosing Your Meds". It's natural that many of the questions here are about HIV medications, no? Do we promote medications, well, yes. Before combination HIV medications were available, HIV was nearly always associated with progression to AIDS and death. Now (thanks to precedent-setting collaborations between communities, government, private industry and medical care providers), we have an array of new HIV-specific medications.
Call that promotion, if you'd like. I call it improving knowledge and information about life-saving treatments.
