I am newly hiv+ person and i have never really ate correctly or exercised.What is the best way to learn how to eat correctly as well as start exercise. I am 25 yo male and 130 bl at 5'7 and taking atripla. I would also like to gain more weight. Please give me some guidance. thanks

Hello and thank you for your post.
Nutrition is an important topic for all people; there's a lot of gimmickry out there, but in the end, it's not too difficult. The best diets are balanced with less fat, more fruit and grains; add to that modest exercise and you have most of the health gains. (Oh, yes, and avoid excessive alcohol or any tobacco.)
If you have specific questions about nutrition, you can start with the US Dietary Guidelines, or ask your healthcare provider about a referral to a registered dietitian.
