alternative treatment of AIDS
Feb 17, 2010
I m not a doctor, but i think in different way to get sucess over any problem. AIDS is caused by CD 4 counts in the blood get down below recommonded, If we change the blood of victim by any means, his CD4 counts will be recovered, and he/she may live without opportunistic infections for further few days. Its my hypothysis, i dont know will it work or not please suggest if it is possible?

Hello and thanks for your post.
What you're describing is an exchange transfusion-- replacing the infected blood with non-infected blood (and CD4s). Versions of this have been attempted in the remote past and unfortunately, without success.
This is largely because HIV lives in tissues (lymph nodes, for one) other than the blood. These reservoirs of HIV infection serve to repopulate the blood quickly.
So, for now, this is not a viable strategy- but keep thinking creatively, maybe the next idea will be the home run.
