Hello Glen: The TPHA test detects specific antibodies against the agent that causes syphilis. A positive test should be evaluated in conjunction with non specific tests such as a RPR or VDRL, symptoms and other considerations (e.g. previous treatment for syphilis). Bottom line: I agree that you need an evaluation for this result. I would suggest you call the local health department who will be able to guide you to a provider or clinic. Thanks, Joe | |||||||||
