Sir many thanks for your reply. sir my son age now 4.5 year's and he last 3 year's left brestfreedind.sir what medicen is the best for me . Now my CD+4 250 up.Rather some time my son kiss to mom. they safe or not.I alredy precustion to my son

Response from Dr. McGowan

Glad your son is well and is negative after having breastfed. There is no risk from usual family household contact such as a kiss between a mother and a child. Risk comes from exposure to blood or body fluids...such as through an open cut or wound.

The best treatment for you would be one that consists of at least 3 active medicines. There are many possibilities for a first time treatment. As you mentioned the 3 drugs in Atripla or Viraday can be very effective if you have had no prior treatment. You must have normal kidney function and be monitored for side effects. You should consult with your doctor to start treatment to keep your Cd4 count from getting below 200.

I wish you the best,

Joe
