About to undergo RNY ... need liquid alternative. Oct 16, 2009 I am taking an active roll in preparing for Gastric Bypass. One of the big issues is Meds. I have responded very well to Atripla (VL-<50, CD4->500)however I will be unable to 'stomach' a pill for months post-op. What are your suggestions for a liquid alternative? I'd even consider injectables. I am consulting with my ID however I feel most informed with other thoughts as well. Your time is greatly appreciated. |

 Hello and thanks for your post. While I generally recommend that your doctors speak with a pharmacologist regarding your upcoming surgery; I'd see no reason why you couldn't consider crushing your Atripla pill and putting it into a sauce or liquid. Hope this helps. BY | |||||||||
