MAF treatment? Oct 4, 2009 Hi! I'm an hiv + medicine student and I really wish to know if the THE BODY-group is aware of this article divulged in the Journal of Medical Virology, in which Dr. Yamamoto claim that MAF can be used to treat HIV, and possibly can erradicate it. Since there was no divulgation by the media of this issue... i think its a little suspect... I'm sending the links to the pubmed article and the complete article.  Hello young doctor and thanks for your post. We scan all sorts of literature, though to be honest hadn't paid much attention to this publication. That said, be aware that there are many candidate molecules for pharmaceutical development--this appears to be an interesting one. Nevertheless, the road from interesting laboratory concept to proven effective and safe medication is a long and frequently failure-filled one.
