|ADAP Covering Atripla?
Aug 31, 2009
I am currently on Atripla and will have to go to ADAP in order to continue treatment. I noticed that Atripla is not listed on the ADAP formulary. Do you know if Atripla is now covered by ADAP? Thanks for your help.

The ADAP formularies vary from State to State. For example, the ADAP formulary in New York is different from the ADAP formularly in North Carolina. Atripla or its component parts are included as the preferred non-PI based regimen in the current guidelines published by the DHHS. If Atripla is not covered in the State you are moving to, it is probable that the components of Atripla most likely are covered (e.g. you may find that Truvada and Sustiva are covered). Your new provider should be able to find out for you. Best, Joe
