Can HPV vaccine cause false HIV possitive result? Aug 6, 2009 Dear Sir or Madam, I am a gay man. I want to get vaccinated against HPV but I am afraid that this vaccine can affect my HIV test which I want to take in two weeks and then repeat in a month. Could this really happen? The test is going to be HIV DUO detecting both antibodies and p-24. Kind Regards |

 Hello, In general, vaccinations don't affect the reliability of HIV antibody testing. Certainly, P24 testing shouldn't be affected. BY | ||||||||
