|switch from meds to alternatives
May 7, 2009
I am thinking about because I am tired of taking meds, have become resistant to the ones I am taking, and no looking forward to antoher round of side effects. I sometimes think the side effects cause more problems than the disease.

I'm confused; you're tired of taking life saving meds, but want to take alternative medications?
You should know that in contrast to past days, new treatments (even those for patients with drug resistance) can be very, very well tolerated.
If your side effects are worse than your disease-related symptoms, then you need to discuss this with your doctor, or if that doesn't result in improvements, find another doctor.
