Oral Anti Fungals and HAART. May 3, 2009 Does Difucan interact negatively with Truvada and/or Isentress? Aside from that, would Difucan be a good choice for someone with a fungal ear infection? Any newer better choices for that type of infection available? |

 Hello, There aren't any significant interactions between fluconazole (Diflucan) and tenfovir/FTC (Truvada) or raltegravir (Isentress). As for the best treatments for fungal ear infection-- it's not exactly clear which fungus might be causing your infection. Fluconazole is widely active against many yeast, but some fungi are not sensitive to this medication. There are newer, more costly medications with broader antifungal activity; I generally reserve their use for very serious or documented fluconazole resistance. BY | |||||||||
