Improved Triglycerides with Prezista/Norvir Combination? Sep 4, 2008 I am on a treatment which includes 4x 100mg Norvir daily. It has been suggested that I add Prezista to my treatment in order to reduce the amount of Norvir, thus getting better control over my triglycerides. I can't find information to support this--does this make sense?(Triglycerides:332, HDL:33, VLDL:66, LDL: 127) |

 Thank you for your post. It sounds like you must be taking a tipranavir-based regimen-- a switch to darunavir (Prezista)/ritonavir (if permitted by your drug resistance pattern) may lower your triglycerides. In a study versus Kaletra (lopinavir/ritonavir) called ARTEMIS, first-line patients receiving darunavir had lower triglyceride levels. It would be a safe extrapolation that a similar result would be had in your case. Best of health, BY | ||||||||
