atripla generic
Mar 23, 2008

Dear Doc, I'm planning to move in South America and the local insurance companies do not cover pre existing conditions. I'm succesfully on Atripla since two years. Do you think 'd be a problem switching to the cheaper generic made by Cipla (Viraday)? Any manifacturing problem you are aware of? Thank you so much. Best, Alex

Response from Dr. Young

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your post.

Cipla's Viraday is a generic equivalent of the branded product Atripla. While not available in the US or Europe, Viraday should be a safe alternative.
