ICU and HIV

If you working in a health care sector and HIV+, does working in ICU where there is high rate of infection incease chances reduced immune system. should I consider a change in carrer, I am an ICU RN. Thnx

Dear ICURN,

Working in an ICU does not, per se, cause any problems with your immune system. Because of your HIV status, it is a good time to review the usual and customary infection control and contact precaution measures.
