|Jergon Sacha and Cat's Claw - cure for HIV?
Oct 14, 2007
Wanted to ask if there is any sciantific opinion on Jergon Sacha and Cat's Claw combo treatment... In the 1990s the Peruvian media reported that a Peruvian physician, Dr. Roberto Inchuastegui Gonzales, who was the president of the Committee of AIDS and Transmissible Diseases at the Peruvian Institute of Social Security in Iquitos, Peru was having remarkable results in treating AIDS patients with extracts of Jergon sacha and Cats claw. Dr. Inchuastergui reported that a majority of HIV patients treated with these herbal extracts had tested negative for the HIV virus after taking these extracts for six months.

The scientific opinion on Jergon Sacha and Cat's Claw combination for treatment of HIV infection is that this cockamamie combination does not cure (or even treat) HIV infection. It is simply one of an astonishingly long list of "immune supporting herbs" which are being sold by unscrupulous merchants to gullible customers.
By the way, in a truly remarkable twist of fate, the only known antidote for the excessive ingestion of the Andean herb Jergon Sacha is the latin herb Caveat Emptor.
