What is the update on the french dendritic cell vaccine Sep 30, 2007 Hello Dr.Pierone, i was wondering what happened to the french dendritic cell vaccine since the first results were announced back in november 2004...has there been a follow up on the patients? how about an extended clinical trial? can you please inform me on this? Thank you |

 It seems highly likely that the French group who published the original report in November 2004 has follow-up studies underway, although I have not been able to locate any information with a quick web search. Another research group from Barcelona is doing dendritic cell vaccine work and here is a link to a description of this study from clinicaltrials.gov. In the U.S. there is a dendritic cell therapeutic vaccine trial currently enrolling at the University of Pittsburgh. Here is a link to this information. The ACTG is also performing a therapeutic vaccine study on Dermavir and here is a link to some information on this trial. Thanks for posting and stay tuned. | ||||||||
