| Can I take anti-acid Sep 18, 2007 Dr. Young, I'm on Atripla and always forget to ask my Dr this question. Can I take anti-acids, eat grapefruit? Anything to watch out for? Thank you in advance. |

Thanks for your post. Yes, it's ok to take Atripla (tenofovir/FTC/efavirenz) with antacids or grapefruit. There's no strict diet requirements either-- you can take Atripla with or without food, though when taken with food, the absorption increases (increasing the potential for side effects).
