cd4 count and treatment

Aug 18, 2007

I have been recently dig. with HIV and know that I contracted it 6 month ago. My cd4 count is 236 and vir. load of 420 thousand. I am having no health issues and would not have the slights clue I was + if it wasn't for the test. I on the fence about starting treatment. could use give me some insight on this issue. Thank you

Thanks for your post.

Looking at your labs (if confirmed), I'd recommend starting HIV treatment in the not so distant future.

There's a lot to consider about which medicines to start-- take some time to look over the "first line treatment" category on the forum- I think that you'll find many posts on the topic.
