Any effetive HIV drugs in China Aug 14, 2007 someone i love got HIV positive and she is currently in China Im very worried as she is taking some medicines recommended and provided by a friend, who is not a doctor. How can we find effective and safe anti-HIV drugs in a country like China? Thanks very much |

 HIV medications are provided for free to people who live in China. If your friend is not a Chinese national then she may have to purchase the medications but they are available - especially in big city pharmacies. Using medications given by a friend who is not an HIV specialist is very very unwise. Taking the wrong medications at the wrong doses can lead to problems that can haunt your friend for life. Talk some sense into her. Ask her to go to her embassy and ask for a referral for help. If she is a Chinese citizen she need only to go to the health department to get free medication and care.
