| Is this report anything new? Jul 20, 2007 HI Dr. Young, I saw this headline on Yahoo News yesterday and was wondering if it includes anything we don't already know. I assumed HAART was presumed to rebuild immune strength...but is using the word "normal" in conjunction with immune system significant? Just curious what your thoughts are on this report. Thanks so much. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070718/hl_nm/aids_cells_dc Matt |

Response from Dr. Young
Dear Matt, Thanks for your post. The Mocroft study reaffirms much of what we have already known, namely that HIV therapies are highly effective and can restore healthy immune function to those affected. "Normal" is a small word with big (and sometimes differing) meanings; I think that it's use here is deliberate. Hope this helps. BY | |||||||||
