Thanks for your post.
I'd have to ask you what have you been doing for the past two years? Whatever you've been using, holistic or not, has not done your immune system any good. You've got a desperately low CD4 count and very high viral load. In our CDC study, without combination antiretroviral medications, individuals with CD4s less than 100 have about a 1 in 3 chance of dying each year.
I can't say that I'm aware of any "holistic" or nutriceutical herb that is going to reverse this trend. In my view, anything foreign that you ingest is a "drug", the only difference is whether there is scientific process or the FDA to validate claims of effectiveness.
If you don't like the way that your previous HIV drugs made you feel, it's important to communicate this effectively to your treater- there's a very good chance that there may be other equally potent medications that don't share the side effect profile.
In the end, it's your choice-- I can simply speak from the decade or so of work with the people that I care for; individuals with CD4 counts below 50 typically and often die. Hving to take medications of any sort imay not be preferrable nor is having AIDS, but in this case, medications for HIV can be life saving. I'd invest time in talking to your HIV treater about the most appropriate, well tolerated options.
Best of health to you, BY
