Same Time?
Oct 10, 2006

If I am on Atripla, is it necessary that I take it at the same time each day? I have been taking it in the evenings, but that ranges from 6 PM to midnight.

Response from Dr. Young

Thanks for your post.

it's best if you can take your medications at the same time each day- I usually recommend within a 3 hour window. Your's is a little wider ranging than I'd prefer.

For my patients taking an efavirenz-based regimen, like Atripla, I simply recommend taking prior to going to bed.
