when should I take Atripla?
Jul 14, 2006

Since it is recommended that you take Sustiva at bedtime should you also take the Atripla at Bedtime? Currently taking Truvada and Ziagen in the AM.

Response from Dr. Young

Yes, since the tenofovir/FTC/efavirenz fixed-dose combination (Atripla) contains efavirenz (Sustiva) it should also be dosed at bedtime.

(by the way, the combination of tenofovir/FTC (Truvada) and abacavir (Ziagen) is not one that is recommended, because of risk of treatment failure). BY
