| hiv/aids coughing up blood May 20, 2006 I was diagnosed 13 yrs ago with AIDS, I am currently undectectable, however, I have had a very long on going problem with spitting up blood...what can be causing this? |

Thanks for your post. There's a wide range of things that can cause hemoptysis (coughing up blood) or hemetemesis (vomiting blood). While some aren't very significant (like bronchitis), others can be very serious (like cancer). I can't tell you which is which in your situation, but I'd get to see you doctor in the near future.
