how can i get help for my neuropathy of the legs. i do not hiv. i constantly am achey. help please i am 78 yr old,

Neuropathy can be really difficult (as you are well aware of). Aside from addressing the underlying cause (if possible), there are a variety of strategies for dealing with the pain.
We've used tricyclic antidepressants (not for depression, but for the neuropathic pain) like amitriptylene, gabapentem (Neurontin), antiinflammatories (ibuprofen, naproxen) and narcotic pain medications, with success. The key thing is to keep trying- what works for some doesn't necessarily work for others; sometime it can take some time to find the right combination.
