Super Infection

Is there such a thing as "Super-Infection". Can one be infected with more than one strain of HIV? Thanks in advance for your answer to this question?

Thanks for your post.

In short, yes. While not common, super-infection with a second strain of HIV can occur. (This is a reason why I recommend that my HIV+ patients practice safe habits). BY
