| BMs and Knees Apr 6, 2006 I was told I was HIV + in February of this year. I am on Reyatez, Norvir and Truvada. My questions are: (1)Some days I have an extremely hard bowel movement and frequently have to give up until later. Would it be possible to have a stool softener as a PRN? (2) After taking my Reyatez in combination with other vitamins and non-HIV meds my knees begin to ache. This is annoying and I KNOW it will go away, but is there something I can add to that combination to make the knees less achey? |

Response from Dr. Young
Thanks for your post and questions. 1) taking a stool softener should not be a problem at all... 2) I'm less clear as to why you're feeling joint achiness, but in the short term acetominophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen would be fine to take and are over-the-counters. If the pain continues and persists, I'd be sure to let your doctor know. Good luck, BY | |||
