Drug storage
Apr 3, 2006

Thank you for everything all of you do here at You're efforts are GREATLY appreciated!!!

I will soon be receiving my meds (Truvada, Reyataz, Norvir) by mail order - 90 day supplies instead of the 30 day supplies I had been getting. Do I need to refrigerate them when I store them for up to an additional 2 months? Are there any other things I need to consider for the longer stoarge periods?

Thanks again Drs! You are all my heros!!

Response from Dr. Young

Thanks for your post.

Most HIV medications are fine when stored at room temperature. The only significant exception to this is ritonavir (Novir). Ritonavir is fine for 1 month at room temp, but the remainder of your 3 month supply should be stored in the refrigerator.

Thanks for your complements. BY
