| Learned some things... Apr 1, 2006 Thank you all for your time & efforts here at TheBody.com. I just thought I'd share some things I've learned about Insurance and prescription coverage since going on meds last September. I'm on Truvada / Reyataz / Norvir - with fantastic results. When I was diagnosed, my partner checked around, and discovered that as his domestic partner, I could be added to his excellent coverage through his work. An RN from United Health Care called me recently to tell me about a mail-order prescription benefit. I now order my meds with a 90 day supply for a $45 copay each - which works out to about $51 per month, instead for the $367 copay per month I had been paying at the local pharmacy. Those who are lucky enough to be covered by insurance should check their coverage carefully to be sure they are getting the best deal possible for prescriptions. I only wish we'd known about this benefit a few months ago! Hope this helps someone. |
